Push Hard On The Epstein Issue
Democrats are making a huge mistake by pushing the Epstein issue. We should encourage them.
The Jeffrey Epstein issue is extremely damaging to the credibility of the Regime. It’s damaging to mainstream (i.e. left-wing) celebrities. It’s damaging to the Democrat party. It’s also damaging to Trump. The only faction which is not damaged by the Epstein scandal is the populist Right, and that’s why we should push hard on this issue.
The Democrats said nothing about Epstein for years and they dismissed speculation it as a “conspiracy theory”. Democrats and other mainstream people always believed that a conspiracy occurred - they believe at the very least that Jeffrey Epstein conspired with Ghislaine Maxwell to commit crimes - but the term “conspiracy theory” is their way of saying that an issue shouldn’t be taken seriously and respectable people shouldn’t talk about it.
The most explosive allegation is that Jeffrey Epstein was an intelligence asset working on behalf of Israel. In a Rubicon moment, Tucker Carlson made this allegation at the Turning Point USA Student Summit on July 11th. Carlson said “It’s extremely obvious to everyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government. Now no one’s allowed to say that that foreign government is Israel because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that that’s naughty.” The crowd erupted in cheers.
It is a shocking development. Just five years ago it would have been unthinkable that a major Republican pundit would make such serious accusation against Israel and be applauded for it by the base. According to a Pew Research poll, young Republicans’ opinions on Israel have shifted very fast. In 2022, just 35% of young Republicans had an unfavorable view of Israel. Now 50% do.
The Israel connection to Epstein is very plausible. Jeffrey Epstein hosted Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak on his private plane 30 times. Ehud Barak also spent time at Epstein’s house. Epstein’s closest associate was Les Wexner, a billionaire who has devoted his life to Israel-focused charities and pro-Israel lobbying. Wexner and Epstein were so close that Wexner gave Epstein power of attorney over Wexner’s assets. Wexner gave Epstein his multimillion dollar Manhattan home.
Furthermore, working for Israeli intelligence doesn’t mean being an official, on-the-books employee of Mossad. Many people are intelligence assets rather than agents, meaning that they sometimes give information to or do favors for an intelligence agency rather than receiving explicit orders from the agency’s hierarchy.
If you still think this sounds far-fetched, try switching the tribal allegiances. Suppose that there was a billionaire named Epsto of Venezuelan descent who lived in the US. Epsto becomes a billionaire - no one’s quite sure how. Then Epsto starts hanging out with rich and powerful people from every industry: entertainment, business, politics etc. Epsto also invites Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro to come fly on his private plane. Maduro accepts the invitation 30 times. In fact, Maduro and Epsto become such great friends, Maduro spends the night at Epsto’s mansion whenever he’s in town. Then it comes to light that Epsto has been abusing underage girls, he’s been inviting powerful people to get “massages” from these underage girls, and every bedroom and bathroom in his mansion has been fitted with hidden cameras. Oh yeah, and Epsto had actually been caught abusing underage girls years previously, but he was let go with less than a slap on the wrist because the prosecutor “was told Mr. Epstein ‘belonged to intelligence’ and to leave it alone.”
Would it be intellectually unserious to wonder if Epsto might have some connection to the Venezuelan government?
Some of the discussion about Epstein has revolved around the “Epstein List.” This is a mistake. Criminals don’t generally keep detailed lists of all their crimes. Instead, we should demand the Epstein Files, we should want to see all the information the Federal government has about Epstein even though the most important files have probably already been destroyed. Any network which is powerful enough to help Epstein evade prosecution for so many years is probably powerful enough to destroy some government files.
Some of the discussion about Epstein has been about whether or not he killed himself. This is also a mistake. I think that Epstein probably was murdered, but it’s actually not very important. It is not very rare for spies to kill themselves when captured; historically, they were trained to do so. The reason Epstein captured public attention isn’t just the circumstances surrounding his death, it’s that his activities implicate the broadest range of powerful people across multiple Western countries. The fact that Epstein was able to run a underage-girl-abuse ring in plain sight damages the idea that the American justice system is capable of holding elites to account. Epstein’s connections and the fact that he was making material which could be used for blackmail suggest that the corruption among our elites may go well beyond Epstein.
The Epstein issue damages the credibility of the Regime because it is serious circumstantial evidence of widespread elite corruption. Democrats are the party of the Regime, but they don’t know it. Democrats are pushing the Epstein issue now to hurt Trump, but they’re making a huge mistake because by damaging the overall credibility of the Regime, Epstein will do a lot more damage to the Democrats than to the Right.
The Right (at least the intellectuals) only like Trump as a tool to destroy the Left. He is our wrecking ball which which we are breaking the Regime’s power. If the Epstein files damage Trump as well as the Democrats, that’s a bonus for us. The Trump revolution has begun to eat its own by attacking Thomas Massie and Ron DeSantis. The Epstein issue creates an opening for Massie and DeSantis to fend off Trump-backed primary challengers. Trump will leave office in 3.5 years. We need the movement to live on beyond him, so we shouldn’t allow Trump-backed candidates with little substance (I’m looking at you Anna Paulina Luna, Abe Hamadeh and Byron Donalds) to unseat strong conservatives like Massie and DeSantis.
Epstein is the perfect issue which has come back up at the perfect time. Right now we can push hard on the Epstein issue, damage the credibility of the Democrats and curb some of Trump’s excesses. We still have enough time before the midterms to regroup and present a unified party apparatus in 2026.
Very well said
It's certainly true that Ghislaine Maxwell's father worked for Israel. He also stole his employees' pensions.
