If you have watched The Sopranos you saw the Italian community begin to distance itself from the crime ridden Mafia. When does the apparent tolerance for crime within the black community along with the acceptance by black school administrators of the disruption of classrooms by out of control individuals begin to end? Finally when will fathers who fail to care for and love their children and especially their boy children be openly censured by black leadership? The young Chris Rock joked openly about these issues but he clearly now censors himself.
On X, now without censorship thanks to Elon Musk, out of control violence has become standard fodder for ridicule with blacks typically being the most violent group depicted. Unfortunately, the stereotype of black violence is rooted in reality.
Young black men (15-34) are just 2% of the population yet commit half of the nation’s homicides. A rate an astounding 50 times that of the average American.
Where white people decide to live, shop, vacation and even if they are willing to use public transit (especially women) has been for decades largely based on avoiding large groups of black people because of their perceived and actual tendency to engage in violence. The term white flight in housing patterns has always been used as a disparaging reference when, in truth, it means white common sense
I think temperamentally conservative black men are pushing back against the Stacy Abrams crowd. To put it crudely, black men don't like being lectured by fat, black lesbians and shrill white women any more than white men do.
Mr. Laird is there a Catholic integralist crowd at GMU? I’ve heard they have a solid Catholic community there. I’m sure they’d side with the libertarian guys over the EA types
"My view of the left / right distinction is that in America in 2025, the single most important political fault line is whether you support the establishment or whether you oppose the establishment."
So being a Socialist is now pro-Establishment? I think you among a lot of other people use the word "Left" wrongly. The Establishment you talk about is not "Left". Its roots are in liberalism, which is not leftism, but also they have now abandoned most of liberal values like free-speech and being able to deal with multiple opinions and viewpoints.
The reason why our modern world is so hard to understand is that those elites cannot be described properly. Clearly they are not left, but even not liberals, only culturally so. Maybe "culturally liberal, practically authoritarian bureaucrats" or I don't even know what. "Virtue-signalling status maximizers" or whatever. People who try to look like Goodpersons, but are selfish as fuck.
But no 20th century political ideology or label works. Not even the fake "Goodperson" signal is either left or liberal, because left means systemic egalitarianism, and liberalism means personal freedom, and neither are necessarily about being a saint.
The Fabian socialists took over the institutions long ago, and more militant leftist socialists did their long march through the institutions after that. So yes, moderate socialists absolutely are the establishment.

I hope so.

I'm not sure if they have one.
Fun interview!

Tankies are not.
